Hmm. There's a snappy phrase involving common kitchen utensils and complete absorption of the visible light spectrum which I'm trying to recall.
With politicians we can vote then out of The House if they fail us. With banks we do not get to vote them out, they get to vote us out of our house, due to their incompetence.
The only way that this government could restore confidence is to call a general election and get voted out.
