The Lib Dems are reviewing Ming Campbell's performance at PMQs. They needn't bother; I can review his recent performances for them in one word.Rubbish.
It is quite clear that the young guns in the Lib Dems are looking beyond this term and hoping to keep their party together long enough to inherit it.

James - how strange how you prefer to not be speaking about your own party in Lewisham. You have such wonderful news that you should be reporting to residents:
Councillor Barrie Anderson has been removed from the leadership of the Conservative Group following his mishandling of the Cabinet and Council organisation issues and an error which amounts to a breach of Party discipline.
Councillor David Britton has been appointed Conservative Group Leader, with Councillor Hilary Downes as Deputy Leader. These changes take immediate effect - and all documents relating to the new committee positions and cabinet structure, etc, should now be sent to the new leadership team.
Everyone concerned with negotiations over the new Cabinet should be aware that Councillor Anderson no longer represents the position of the Lewisham Conservatives in Counstituency or Council, or, indeed, Conservatives within London or nationally over any issue of his accepting a Cabinet post. If he does so, he will be doing it in his personal capacity as a member of Lewisham Council who happens to be a Conservative.
The new Conservative Group Leadership Team calls on the Mayor to go back to the drawing board over the issue of cabinet appointments and all other appointments within this Council's gift and meet with the leaders of all five Council Groups to reach a common understanding so that we can progress the work of the Council and honour the will of the local electorate. The new Conservative Group Leadership Team gives notice that it intends to make the true position around these issues totally clear in a public statement at the soonest possible time.

The email that you quote was sent to group leaders on Lewisham council.
The fact that you have posted it indicates one of the following.
1. You are a group leader on Lewisham Council.
2. You were given this by a group leader on Lewisham Council.
3. You stole this from a group leader on Lewisham Council.
Either way I think it is about time that you let the readers know.
The fact that this last message was posted under comments about the Lib Dem readership is a bit of a give away.
Have the guts to show yourself or do you prefer that the voters in Lewisham believe that there is a political party who would rather snipe anonymously than stand up and have an open debate?
